My name is Ronna and I am a lot of things as a wife and mom. I have lived in three countries and three states, but my favorite is, hands down, Colorado. Colorado felt like home the first time I found myself in the Front Range and experiencing life here. I enjoy getting outside so I don’t take the beauty around us for granted. You can often find me reading or sewing for my personal projects. I really enjoy quality time with family and friends because it’s significant to me that you would take your time and spend it with me.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My spouse and I have been married 10 years now, and we are honored to share two children who keep us on our toes along with our two dogs.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am currently a professional longarm quilter. That means I have a longarm sewing machine that is fully computerized and able to sew all kinds of patterns that are the finishing steps of a quilt. I love that I help people make family heirlooms. Quilts can last generations and even centuries. The fact that I get to be part of that is very special to me.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I love El Mex Kal Mexican Restaurant! They treat you like family if it’s your first time or your fiftieth time with them.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
Coming up on 13 years of living and working here in Estes Park. My first job here was as a seasonal in the Parks Department.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Estelle Boles.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

Q: What advice would you give to people?
There are no refunds on time so spend it wisely.

Ed’s Cantina because we had our rehearsal dinner there and it always reminds me of a time of anticipation and excitement.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I’d have lunch with my neighbor up the road. We’d have brunch at Seasoned Bistro and catch up on our mom stories.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love the small community. It supports, it welcomes, it mourns together, and it celebrates together. It’s very special that way.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see being here and going to our kid’s games or events. I see adventuring and hiking in the National Park as a family.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I went to pastry school and thought I would be a pastry chef.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park in the winter. It’s a special experience regardless of the time of year there, but being out in the wild with the wind and the cold is spectacular.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My husband Tyler inspires me to be better. He supports me, he tells me to not be afraid, and he tells me I can do the crazy ideas that come to my mind. He’s my biggest cheerleader and advocate.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Comfort, majesty, and peace.
